What's new on TriWerx

New features, improvements and fixes, newest first. You're on v1.9.0.

v1.9.0

Latest
Improved
  • Buyer text checks catch disguised words. Blocked words are now found when written with look-alike letters (b@rbie), with spaces between the letters (b a r b i e) or with repeated letters, and real names that contain a blocked word (like Shital) can be always allowed.

v1.8.0

Added
  • "AI-assisted" label on designs. Designs whose 3D shape was made from photos by an AI 3D service now say "AI-assisted" on their cards and their page.

v1.7.0

Added
  • Personalise it. Some designs now let you add your own name, words or photo before you order. Type it in and watch the live 3D preview change, pick from the colours the designer chose (or print in one colour), and get prices from printers near you. Look for "Personalise it" on design cards. Personalised items are print only and paid online.
  • Make it yourself. The new Make page has TriWerx templates (keychains, name and door signs, festival ornaments, photo lithophanes, cookie cutters and trays) to add a name or photo to, in small, medium or large. Filter by occasion, see it in 3D, and we print it and deliver it. Free to design, and no account needed until checkout.
  • Your own photo as a lithophane. Upload a photo, drag and zoom to crop it, and see it lit from behind before you order. Location and camera details are removed when you upload, and you're told if the photo is too small to print sharp.
Improved
  • See what you personalised, everywhere. Your text or photo, colours and size show on the cart line, at checkout and on your order. Cash on delivery is switched off for these items, with the reason shown, and returns only cover items that arrive damaged or misprinted.
Fixed
  • Late deliveries of personalised items can be reported. "Delivered too late" can now be raised on a personalised item. Change-of-mind returns are still not accepted for personalised items.

v1.6.0

Added
  • Keychains, signs, ornaments and lithophanes in Creator Studio. Make keychains and tags (including "I ♥ ___"), name and door signs, festival ornaments (Diwali, Rakhi, Eid, Christmas, birthday) and photo lithophanes, in one or two colours, with a live 3D preview.
  • See a lithophane lit up. Preview a photo lithophane lit from behind or in daylight before making the file; lithophanes print in white PLA (use an LED light, not included).
  • Choose colours when you get it printed. Pick the material and colour for each part, or print in one colour; prices come from printers near you, with bulk discounts.
  • Photos for every design. Designs without photos now show studio photos rendered from their 3D file (hero, front, top and a size view in mm), labelled "Rendered from the 3D model".
Improved
  • Lithophane photos stay private. Photos up to 20 MB are stored with location and camera data removed.

v1.5.0

Added
  • Creator Studio. Turn a drawing, photo or name into a cookie cutter, stamp or matching set with a live 3D preview, then download the file, get it printed and delivered, or sell it on TriWerx. See triwerx.in/creator-studio — new in the menu, the footer and on the Home page.
Improved
  • Photo to 3D is part of Creator Studio. It's for creators and uses plan credits; the old page now takes visitors to Creator Studio, and the upload page's tab reads "Make your own · Creator Studio".
  • Desktop menu. "Creator Studio" is in the menu; "Get a quote" moved to the phone menu (it opened the same page as "Upload & print"), and the menu no longer overlaps the search and cart icons when you're signed in.
Security
  • Private designs stay private. A design that isn't public was briefly cached when its owner opened it and could be shown to anyone with its link; only public designs are cached now.

v1.4.0

Added
  • Real size and weight on design pages. Each design shows its measured size and estimated PLA weight, and print quotes are priced from the design's measured volume.
Improved
  • Real store address. A store's free address shows its working link, triwerx.in/s/<your-store>.

v1.3.0

Added
  • Refund as Maker Points credit. When TriWerx offers it, you can take a refund as Maker Points credit (sometimes with a bonus) instead of money back, and spend that credit at checkout. Your order page and refund emails say where each refund went.

v1.2.0

Added
  • Approve a price change, or cancel for a refund. If a printer finds your model needs more material than quoted, you approve the difference or cancel that item for a refund.
  • More say after a failed delivery. An optional delivery code when your parcel is out for delivery; after a failed delivery you can choose to try again, give a new address in the same city, or cancel.
  • Choose finishing when you quote. Sanding, painting, priming and other finishes can be added to a print quote, and the price updates live.
  • Paused delivery areas are clear. If deliveries to your PIN code are paused, quotes and checkout tell you so plainly.
  • Support contacts where you need them. The footer, legal pages, order and dispute pages show our support contacts and Grievance Officer; order and support emails say how to reach support, and replies go to the support inbox.
  • Maintenance notice. While the site is under maintenance, every page shows a notice and checkout is paused until it's back.
  • Storefront plans on the seller page. The seller page lists the current storefront plans and prices.
Improved
  • No double commission at checkout. Checkout no longer adds the printer's commission on top of your price; TriWerx's 5% platform fee is shown as its own line.
Fixed
  • No more "too many requests" after quick page loads. On a shared network (or a busy admin session), signed-in traffic used up the allowance for guest calls, so features could briefly disappear; the two now have separate limits.
  • Your order uses the material you picked. Changing material (or colour, quality, infill, quantity or PIN code) and quickly adding to cart could keep the previous price and material, e.g. a Resin print ordered as PLA. Add to cart and Checkout now wait for the updated price ("Updating price…").

v1.1.0

Added
  • Clearer delivery charges. Quotes, the cart and checkout show "Delivery ₹X" or "Free delivery" for each order, with the box your parcel ships in and its billable weight, and the courier's days when a live rate is used. When you're close, you see how much more to add for free delivery; a cart from two printers shows each parcel. Remote PIN codes (North-East, J&K, Andaman, Lakshadweep) can carry a small extra fee, shown on its own line.
Security
  • Private documents stay private. Your identity documents, invoices and data exports are private and open only through short-lived secure links.

v1.0.2

Improved
  • New version prompt. When TriWerx is updated while you have it open, a small banner offers to refresh so you get the latest changes, with a link to what's new.

v1.0.0

The first numbered release of TriWerx: India's marketplace for 3D printing, where you upload a file or pick a design and a verified local printer makes it and ships it to your door.

Added
  • Instant quotes. Upload an STL, OBJ or 3MF file and get a price straight away, then step through Customise and Choose printer. Material, colour, quality and size update the price as you go, and your quote survives a page reload.
  • Colour and multi-colour prints. Preview your model in the filament colour you pick, choose any custom colour, and give separate parts of a model their own colours.
  • Design marketplace. Browse and search ready-to-print designs, download the file or order it printed, and choose a personal or commercial licence on the same model.
  • Verified printers. Find printers near you by city, material and rating, with a map view. Every printer passes identity and business checks before taking orders.
  • Storefronts. Anyone can open their own branded store of designs at a TriWerx address, with store prices shown inclusive of GST.
  • TriWerx for Business. Send a request for quotation for bulk or custom work and compare bids from printers, with GST invoices, purchase orders and approved credit terms for business accounts.
  • Checkout. One checkout for prints and design files, with the printer shown for each item, coupons, Maker Points and a live delivery estimate. If your PIN code changes, the quote is refreshed in place.
  • Order tracking. Follow every order through printing, quality check, packing and delivery, with the photos taken at each stage, and message TriWerx support or your printer from the order.
  • Guest checkout and tracking links. Order without creating an account by confirming your mobile number with a one-time code, follow the order from a private tracking link, and turn it into an account later. It switches on together with SMS codes.
  • Returns, disputes and grievances. Ask for a refund or a reprint on a delivered order, raise a dispute, or file a copyright (DMCA) claim.
  • Rewards. Maker Points, loyalty tiers, badges and short referral codes you can share.
  • Sign-in. Sign in with a code sent to your email, or with Google or Facebook.
  • Partner programmes. Apply to print with TriWerx or to sell your designs, with guided onboarding and agreements you can read and sign online.
Improved
  • A new, lighter TriWerx. Every page has been redesigned in one light, warm style, including home, quotes, designs, printers, cart, checkout, orders, your account, legal pages, the partner workspaces and the admin console. It is built to work on phones as well as desktops.
  • Sign-in codes. The resend timer matches what the server allows, and a typo no longer uses up your code.
  • Staying signed in. Sessions no longer end after the first token refresh, and signing in or out in one tab updates the others.
  • Fewer false alarms. Removed error messages that appeared when nothing had gone wrong.
  • Sign-in returns you to the right place. After signing in you land back on the same page, with its filters intact.
Security
  • Sign-in codes stay private. Once email delivery is set up, a sign-in code is sent only to your email or phone and is never shown on the page; mobile codes are offered only when SMS delivery is set up.
  • Safer sessions. Rate limits on sign-in and code requests, and a stolen-and-reused sign-in token logs out every session in its family.
